Airship Times

This blimp was made in Wroclaw University of Technology Poland. Lenght 4,5m radius 2,2m range 1500m capacity 10m3 of helium. 2 engines speed 400 witch transmition 3,3:1 and 8” propeller and one speed 280 on rudder. This blimp have also camera 500lines which is full maneuvering. For control i’m using Multiplex 7 chanel controler. We are using 5,8 GHz system to send the video from blimp to control station. All was made by students. I was main coordinator of this project.

This airship is made from a very thin, lightweight heat absortant material which resembles a giant bin liner. You get it full of air and seal it up, then the heat from the sun warms up the air inside and causes it to rise.
